The highly popular charity tractor run in Penybont recently took place, raising money for a vital Welsh charity.

The annual run, which is organised by the Penybont Charity Tractor Run Committee, is a 25-mile run around the local area.

Starting and finishing at the Racecourse in Penybont, this event has grown in popularity and this year proved as successful as ever.

The winner of the best tractor at this year’s run was Stephen Bufton of Penybont.

The winner of the tractor the judge would have liked to have taken home was Robert Bufton.

But tractors were not the only order of the day, with other events planned, with truly something for everyone to enjoy.

During the afternoon, horse showjumping took place with various ages taking part, as well as activities for the children including an egg and spoon race, sack races, running races, splat the rat, rounders and football - which kept everybody entertained and amused.

Chairman of the committee Andrew Davies gave thanks to everyone who supported the day.

All money raised from the day will be donated to the Powys division of Blood Bikes Wales. They had representatives at the event and are looking for volunteers who would like to join them.

Steve Bufton from Llandewi, who is a volunteer Blood Biker, was called out during the afternoon to transport required goods to a hospital.
