The small community of Three Cocks is generally known for amazing garden nursery the Old Railway, or one of the other brilliant businesses that are based there. A lot of people even know Three Cocks for Gwernyfed High School. 

However, this weekend, Three Cocks will be putting itself on the map for holding its first ever summer fete. This is being held on the Gwernyfed High School grounds with gates opening from 10am till 5pm.

There will be around 25 stalls selling everything from jams to skin care products, cards to jewellery as well as much more.

There will also be a great opportunity to grab yourself a bargain with the dozen car boots that will be there as well.

You won’t go hungry either with both Beacons Hog Roast and Honey brook Pizzas fuelling all that need it. Plus, with the weather still being so kind, the ice cream van will be fully stocked for the day to keep us all cool. 

To keep everyone entertained, they have bouncy castles, water games and archery to try out. You will be able to get your face painted or just enjoy Talgarth fire engine.

There will be a small selection of vintages vehicles to admire, and 15 classes scheduled in the fete competition which it isn’t too late to enter.

There is something for everyone and it is free to come in.

This fete is being put on by Three Cocks Matters Community Group and they are running a super raffle throughout the day with prizes ranging from £300 heating oil, plants, lunch for two at Gwernyfed Walled Gardens, and so much more. The draw will take place at 4pm.

All money raised from this raffle and anything else from the day will be used to help regenerate the community as it is in desperate need of new play areas, better green spaces for nature and a community hall for the long-term.
