Fire crews from across Powys are currently tackling a large barn fire in New Radnor.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service crews were called to the barn at around 9:15pm last night (Sunday).

Crews from Presteigne, Llandrindod Wells, Rhayader, Builth Wells, Newtown, Brecon, Hay-on-Wye, Tumble and Llanfyllin Fire Station were called to the scene.

They are also being assisted by crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

This incident is currently ongoing.

Crews have been responding to a fire within a barn, measuring approximately 30 metres by 18 metres, that was well alight and containing straw, hay and machinery.

Crews are still working to extinguish the fire. This incident is especially challenging due to high winds fanning the fire.
