A person was cut free from their vehicle by the fire service following a three-vehicle crash in Libanus earlier this afternoon.
The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) crew from Brecon Fire Station was called to an incident at Libanus at around 12:39pm today.
The road traffic collision involved three vehicles and there were three casualties, the fire service said.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “One casualty had been conveyed to hospital prior to the arrival of the crew, another casualty was trapped in their vehicle.
“Crew members utilised e-draulic cutting equipment and small gear to extricate the casualty, who was then conveyed to hospital by air ambulance.
“This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, the Ambulance Service and a crew from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service also in attendance.”
The fire crew made the scene safe and left the scene at around 2pm.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A470 near Libanus at around 12:20pm on Thursday, September 12.
“The road was closed whilst emergency services attended, and the vehicles were recovered.
“The road reopened before 5pm.”
The extent of the injuries sustained by those involved is currently unknown.
