Powys firefighters extinguished a car fire yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters from Llandrindod Wells Fire Station attended the incident in the Crossgates area yesterday (Thursday).

The team posted pictures of the incident to social media, showing the vehicle engulfed in flames, before it was extinguished by firefighters.

It was a busy afternoon for the station's firefighters, who were shortly afterwards called to help out with an incident in Rhayader.

Llandrindod Wells Fire Station covers Llandrindod Wells town, and the surrounding communities of Disserth and Tregoed, Llanbadarn Fawr, Llangunllo, Llanyre and Crossgates. The remaining Station area is predominantly rural.
