A holidaymaker from Powys who went missing in The Gambia has died.
Michael Costain, aged 69, from Rhayader, travelled to the west African country on March 8.
He had been expected back on March 20 but did not return.
Dyfed-Powys Police launched a missing persons appeal last month but have today confirmed that Mr Costain died while he was on holiday.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
It is believed Mr Costain stayed the Busumbala area of western Gambia for two days before leaving with the intention to travel to the Abene Village in Cassamance, in the southern part of Senegal.
