NFU’s Let’s Talk Farming roadshow will be visiting the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd again to educate children about food and farming.

This year the roadshow has a new presenter, taking over from Johnny Ball, who decided to hang up his hat after 16 years. Adam Jones, who has two young children of his own, has settled into the role, bringing entertainment and energy to the Let’s Talk Farming experience.

The roadshow is a fun, interactive and educational activity for children and families to learn about food and farming. It tells the story of how food moves from the farm to the dinner table and how farmers are meeting environmental challenges while providing great-tasting food.

Adam has a variety of activities on offer; from milking the famous Annabelle, a model dairy cow, to milling wheat into flour, and finding the Red Tractor logo on the produce, all to help illustrate the farming to fork journey.

NFU Cymru president Stephen James always looks forward to welcoming the roadshow back to Wales.

He said: “The Let’s Talk Farming Roadshow is an asset to NFU Cymru. In a subtle and entertaining way it informs all ages about what we do as farmers and how food is produced.”
