A STONE monument that has stood in the Brecon Beacons since the Early Bronze Age has been vandalised.
An apparent 'smiley face' has been daubed in white paint on the Maen Llia standing stone, a scheduled ancient monument, which sits between Heol Senni and Ystradfellte in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Park officer Natalie Ward warned: "It's not harmless fun. Causing damage to a Scheduled Ancient Monument is a criminal offence."
