Artist David Bellamy will be giving a watercolour painting demonstration at 2pm on Tuesday, December 10 at Erwood Station Gallery & Craft Centre.
David revels in seeking out wild places not just in Powys, but as far afield as the Arctic, Himalayas, Andes and Arabian deserts.
“To travel to such exciting and exotic places to paint the landscapes and people is a great privelege, but it’s always a great joy to return home to our stunning local scenery,” he said.
This time he will be painting a watercolour of a picturesque Radnorshire waterfall and describing his techniques as he progresses.
Proceeds from the demonstration will be donated to Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, but there is limited space so booking is essential.
David is a regular contributor and advisor to Leisure Painter magazine and has taken many painting groups to various countries. He has written 23 books and will also have many of these on display.
Erwood Station, about six miles south of Builth just off the A470, puts on many interesting events throughout the year, and is a wonderful and welcoming place to relax over a cuppa and one or two of their fabulous cakes.
