Llandovery is set to launch its Christmas season on Friday, November 29 with music, markets and lights.
The playfully-named ‘Bites, Delights & Christmas Lights!’ begins at 11am with a mixed market of food produce and crafts.
Live music from a range of local acts will provide the ambience throughout the course of the event.
Father Christmas himself will take time out of his busy schedule at the North Pole to visit Llandovery and help turn on the town lights for Christmas at 6pm.
Shoppers in Llandovery can enjoy the festivities on offer with shops in town open until 8pm.
Llandovery Market Manager Raoul Bhambral is looking forward to the festival occasion.
“It’s going to be a special day so do put it in your diary!" he said.
"The lights switch-on is always popular with residents and visitors alike but this year Llandovery will offer so much more.
"It’ll be a day for ambling around town, enjoying everything local - from the food producers and crafters to the local shops and music."
"We are still finalising who will be there - but I do know that Santa is taking time out of his busy schedule to get Christmas started with an advance visit!” he added.
The market will open at 11am and feature many traders from this year’s Llandovery Farmers' Market, which proved a big hit earlier this year.
Shoppers can expect a variety of produce, ranging from sheep’s cheese to jams, pickles and preserves, gluten-free cakes, a variety of meats, honey, plants and wreaths.
Christmas drinks on offer will include cider, spirits and liquors.
Christmas shoppers can buy a wide range of Christmas gifts from crafts stalls too with cards, signs, Christmas decorations, hangings, homemade clothing and homeware, as well as bespoke woodworks.
Other traders or entertainers are encouraged to get in touch as some spaces are still available.
Llandovery Farmers' Market can be contacted via its page on the Llandovery.wales website.
