Brecon Mountain Rescue Team was called out to Llanbrynmair recently after a horse rider had fallen and suffered serious injuries.
The team was called out shortly after 7pm on Monday, August 5.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the team contacted Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team for assistance.
A Maritime and Coastguard Agency rescue helicopter also responded to help with the evacuation.
The teams then winched the casualty onto the rescue helicopter and then handed over to an awaiting ambulance, which took the casualty to hospital.
A spokesperson for Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: “This incident displayed some excellent joint working amongst the three agencies involved. We extend our best wishes to the casualty for a full and speedy recovery.”
