A school uniform swap shop is set to take place next week for students in the Brecon area.
Pupils and parents, who are attending school in Brecon, are invited to take what school uniform they need from the swap shop while donating old uniform which is no longer needed.
Organised by Brecon Town Council, the free events will take place at St John Centre, opposite the Priory School, on Thursday, August 26.
The swap shop will help parents to get their children ready back to school while potentially avoiding the costs of buying brand new uniforms.
Councillor Matthew Dorrance, of the St John West Ward, said: "The school uniform swap shop is a free event that’s open to all families with children attending schools in the Brecon area.
"The event has been organised by your local Labour Councillors to help families get their children ready for the new school year which we know can be costly and stressful, especially after the difficulty of the last 18 months.
"Families attending the event can pick up school uniform items to help save money and stop good clothes from going to landfill.
"You are also able to donate school uniform items that your children have outgrown by bringing them along on the day or contacting me on 07507597503 to arrange collection."
