Builth Wells Rotary Club has donated more than £350 to Wyeside Arts Centre.

The Club raised the money through the hosting of a quiz at The Greyhound Hotel. The New Year edition of this monthly event proved very successful - with a packed venue eager and willing to answer quiz questions for a good cause.

Money raised in the quiz is doubled by Builth Rotary and the total allocated to the nominated recipient. 

A cheque for £363 was presented to Wyeside General Manager, Jill Mustafa by Rotary President, Ciaran O’Connell. 

Ms Mustafa said that Wyeside is extremely grateful to Builth Wells Rotary Club for the funds raised at their recent quiz night.

Owing to cuts in the revenue funding from Powys County Council, and limited success from the Arts Council Investment Review Application, funding for the 2024/25 financial year is at a critical level.

Ms Mustafa added that there are a number of ways the local community can help to support the venue. Come along to an event, sign up to become a Friend, make a one-off donation – every little helps!
