Staff members from Builth Wells Veterinary Practice have raised thousands of pounds for charity by completing a 26-mile hike.
The five-strong team of Nicola Rolinson, Sarah Parker, Eve Thomas, Laura Turner and Karen Cameron-Price took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Trek26 challenge on Saturday, July 8.
Nicola said: “All five of us completed the trek, and although torrential rain blighted much of the afternoon, we finished in high spirits!
“We have raised over £2700 in total between our JustGiving page and cash donations.
“In addition, the Builth Wells branch of the NFU Mutual has kindly supported the cause, adding over £3000 to the above figure.
“We would like to thank all all those who supported us in this fundraising venture.”
Beginning and ending at Cantref Farm, Brecon, the route took the team into the heart of the national park with a climb up to Fan y Big (717m).
