A Builth Wells librarian is closing the book on her career after more than 38 years in the role.

Sue Morrison took on the post of librarian at Builth Wells Library on April 1, 1986.

After more than 38 years of dedicated, continuous service, Sue closed the library door for the last time on May 28, 2024.

Sue has worked in libraries virtually all of her working life, training at Aberystwyth University and working at Coventry City libraries before coming to Builth Wells.

Following her retirement, she now plans to spend her time at Builth Wells Heritage Centre, where she is a volunteer, as well as with her her grandchildren and holidays with her husband.
