A four million pound burger factory will be officially opened today at Wyeside Enterprise Park, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells by First Minister Carwyn Jones.
The investment, part funded by the Welsh Government, is an expansion of the Burger Manufacturing Company which was originally housed in an existing neighbouring building.
The new purpose built unit will allow the company to develop quality and gourmet burgers for customers, including restaurants and take-away businesses throughout the UK.
As a result,it is hoped that additional employment opportunities will be created at the manufacturing plant, where 100% beef burgers will be produced.
The Burger Manufacturing Company produces over 37.5 million burgers every year – the equivalent of 630 per minute.
The First Minister is no stranger to the site, as he opened the original facility back in 2000 when he was the rural affairs minister.
