A FAMILIAR face from Brecon’s Morrisons store has made an appearance in the supermarket’s latest television advert.

Allan Stroud, who has worked as a checkout operator at the town centre store since last May, features in the advert that is currently playing on television.

The shop assistant from Sennybridge said: "I’ve seen it a few times now, it’s probably been on for four days now and I think it will be on until the run up to the Christmas adverts.

"Customers have come in and asked if it’s me who is in the advert. We have quite a good chat and people have had quite a bit of fun about it and ask if they can have my autograph.

"Word is getting around now and people are looking out for me in the advert."

Allan had seen a request for staff members to take part in the advertising campaign on the supermarket’s staff Facebook page. He was then invited to film the advert in store in Camden in London in July.

"I just thought it would be something different and the opportunity was there and I’ve never been on an advert and I work in Morrisons. I didn’t think for a minute I’d get on but I sent in a video and some emails from customers about customer service from myself."
