Join the dancing wagtails by the river at Penpont next month for a celebration of music, fine feasts, local beers and handmade cocktails.

Sigldigwt Festival is a folk festival taking place on Saturday, September 28.

The folk-inspired psychedelic dance troop The Wanton String Band will grace the Courtyard Stage, alongside Katuš, The Moscow Trip and local artists including Flynn Daggett, Iris Rei and Hawk Howard & the Talons.

More acts are set to be announced soon.

Festival-goers can enjoy Penpont's wood-fired sauna which will be blazing throughout the event free-of-charge, alongside exploring the Adfyw Land Library, tree trails, eclectic lawn games, facepainting and the iconic Greenman Maze.

Gates open at 11am with the first performances kicking off at midday. The festival closes at midnight.

Although there is no overnight camping option at Penpont, there is a beautiful riverside campsite just a 10-minute walk downstream from the festival called Aberbran Fach - please get in touch directly with them to book in. There is a second campsite - Aberbran Fawr - a 15-minute walk from the festival site in the same direction.

The festival bars and food stalls will accept cards only.

No dogs are permitted at this event, although guide/assistance dogs are welcome.

Siglidgwt is Welsh for Wagtail and translates more literally as 'shake-your-tail' - a gesture to the river, its wild inhabitants and the dancefloor - pronounced SHIGGLE-DEE-GOOT or SIGGLE-DEE-GOOT.
