Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park on Wednesday, March 6 to assist a walker with a suspected ankle fracture dislocation.
The woman had slipped and fallen while walking in the waterfalls area of the national park. Mountain rescue team members worked closely with the national park’s warden and quickly confirmed the lady’s location - arriving on the scene with ambulance paramedics.
The casualty received pain relief from the paramedics and was then winched on board a helicopter before being taken to hospital.
A spokesperson from the mountain rescue team said: “We send our best wishes to the lady for a speedy recovery and we hope you’re back walking as soon as possible.”
