Brecon’s famous TARDIS rugby raffle has raised a further £1720 for Cancer Research Wales. The latest raffle winners were: Margaret Bevan winning a France rugby jersey, with Jacky Price in second. Tammy Lancaster won an Italy rugby jersey, and Gary Evans came second. The Ireland Rugby Jersey was won by Sian Norgate with Fred Newton in second.
Husband and wife team Lorna and Butch Keylock said: “Well the rugby has been like the weather, rubbish. Not to panic, there’s always light at the end of a tunnel, so they say, new bloom and all that!
“Good news, the Tardis is still flying about despite atrocious weather conditions raising money Cancer Research Wales, with £1720 raised.
“Well the new look Wales team showed a vast improvement against Ireland and we’re looking forward to the final games against Scotland and England in the following weeks.
“Thanks again everyone for taking part. We cannot do it without you, and you can’t win it if you ain’t in it! All the best, Butch and Lorna. See you next time.”
