A Knighton man has been ordered to pay more than £200 after stealing a box of Viagra from a pharmacy.
Magistrates at Llandrindod Wells heard yesterday (Wednesday) that Anthony Mark Stephens, 54, stole the box of Viagra from Boots in Knighton on February 16 last year.
The Viagra was worth £34.99.
The court heard how Stephens, of Fronhir, Knighton, entered behind the healthcare counter, stole the goods and left the store without making payment.
Stephens pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was fined £80 and ordered to pay compensation of £34.99.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
Stephens was also fined £40 for the theft of four-pack of canned lager from Knighton's Co-op on Bridge Street on April 18, 2022, and fined a further £40 for making off with £16.57 of diesel from the same store two days earlier.
