Last week, Ascot came to Cradoc Golf Club for a night filled with fun and excitement as club captains Chris Reeves and Diane Davies hosted a race night to raise funds for their chosen charities.

In the lead-up to the event, local businesses and individuals sponsored the races, including Caleb Roberts with Spencer and Rob Cleaves, The Barn at Brynich, Beacons Foods, Clee Tompkinson Francis (Brecon and Crickhowell), Cradoc General Manager Bradley Stuart, Cradoc Men's Past Captains, Cradoc Bar Staff, and the Club Captains.

The event drew a great turnout of both members and non-members, who enjoyed the entertainment, placed bets on horses purchased and named by individuals, and cheered on the winners. Many also enjoyed a delicious bar meal provided by Fairway at Cradoc, adding to the lively atmosphere of the evening.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, an impressive £1,200 was raised for Dementia Matters in Powys, Brecon Dial-a-Ride, and Velindre Cancer Centre.

The club’s next event, An Evening with Owen Money, includes a two-course meal from the club’s new caterers and is already proving popular. Those interested are encouraged to secure their tickets before they sell out.
