Dyfed-Powys Police has warned that fallen trees are making road conditions “extremely poor” across the force area.
Storm Éowyn has brought severe weather conditions to parts of Wales today (Friday), with the Met Office issuing warnings for wind for the entire country.
Dyfed-Powys Police has urged motorists to only travel if their journey is absolutely necessary, plan extra time for travel, increase following distances, and reduce their speed.
Traffic Wales has received reports of fallen trees on the A470 between Brecon and Llyswen, as well as the A40 between Trecastle and Halfway.
There are also reports of a tree down on the A483 between Builth Wells and Howey.
The local authority and emergency services are working to clear the affected routes. However, roads may open and close rapidly as conditions change, so motorists should remain vigilant.
Further warnings for wind and rain have been issued for Sunday and Monday.
