Following last week’s successful A-level results, Crickhowell High School is thrilled to announce a strong set of GCSE results for this year's cohort.
The school has said the results reflect the dedication, resilience of all learners and the collaboration of the school community.
94 per cent of learners achieved five A* - C grades, 28 per cent achieved at least five A* - A grades, and 17 per cent achieved at least ten A* - A grades. Maths, English and Science results are above outcomes achieved prior to the pandemic.
The school also said it is particularly appreciative of the efforts of all staff, parents, and governors who have helped its students secure excellent pathways and possibilities despite unprecedented challenges, not least the Covid pandemic.
Headteacher, Claire Jones, said: “These results reflect more than grades alone. They represent personal growth, resilience and the development of skills that will serve our students well throughout their lives. We are exceptionally proud of each and every student.”
"We are pleased to have so many of our students returning to our vibrant Sixth Form, alongside a number of collaborative and external applicants. We extend our warmest congratulations to all learners and thanks to all those who have played a part in their educational journey."
