Ysgol Calon Cymru has announced the top performing pupils this GCSE results day.

Headteacher Dr Richard Jones said: "It was wonderful to see the hard work of our pupils paying off and we are very proud of their achievements."

Dr Jones added his thanks to the staff and wider school community at Ysgol Calon Cymru for their hard work and commitment.

"The last few years have been challenging for schools and pupils, and to see our Year 11 pupils enjoying success and being excited about their futures is very rewarding," he said.

Deputy headteacher Lee Powell added: "We would also like to thank all of our parents and carers for their support over the last five years.

"It is only with the support of our parents/carers that we can get the best from the pupils in our care." 

The Governing Body at Ysgol Calon Cymru also congratulated their pupils, wishing them well in the their next steps in education, apprenticeships or the world of work.
