Students at Ysgol Maesydderwen received their GCSE results this morning, where there have been plenty of celebrations among staff, learners and parents.
Both staff and learners say they are "exceptionally pleased" with the results this year.

Headteacher, Phil Grimes, offered his "warmest congratulations" to all learners for their "fantastic results".
"They have gained the rewards they so justly deserve from their hard work and dedication to their studies," he said. "It’s so wonderful to see the joy on the faces of our learners, which is a testament to their hard work and that of the staff, and of course to parental support.
"I look forward to welcoming many of these learners back into our school community to continue their studies in our Sixth Form. I wish all learners all the very best in their future studies."
