Elan Valley Visitor Centre has announced a series of Christmas events for all the family which will be held throughout December.
From a Christmas lights switch-on to a Magical Winter Woodland Grotto, these festive events promise to bring joy and holiday spirit to visitors of all ages.
A Christmas Lights Switch-On kicks off the festive season on Friday, December 6. Father Christmas will make a special appearance at 4:30pm to illuminate the visitor centre at 5pm. Guests can enjoy festive carols performed by the Builth Wells Ladies Choir, whilst savouring a delicious free mince pie and hot chocolate and soaking up the magical atmosphere. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of a 10 per cent discount in the gift shop and enjoy free parking from 2:30pm to 6pm.
Embark on a winter wonderland adventure at Elan Valley's Magical Winter Woodland Grotto on weekends throughout December, plus extra dates on Friday, December 20 and Monday, December 23. Children can meet Father Christmas, share their Christmas wishes, and receive a special gift. Entertaining elves will welcome little visitors with music and festive cheer. The grotto experience includes festive crafts, games, and a delicious hot chocolate and gingerbread man in the café. After visiting Father Christmas, families can embark on an outdoor Christmas trail to find 'Elfie' the naughty elf, who's lost in Cnwch Woods and needs your help! Tickets are priced at £12.50 per child.
Breakfast with Father Christmas will take place on Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 24, from 10am to 11:30am. Start your Christmas week with a festive breakfast alongside Father Christmas himself. Listen to Christmas stories, and receive a special gift. This event is priced at £8.95 per child and £10.95 per adult.
