An elderly woman was taken to hospital following a crash between a lorry and a car between Brecon and Sennybridge yesterday (Monday, January 28).
The A40 was closed for about two hours after the accident near Llanspyddid at 4.15pm. The vehicles involved were a Renault Captur and a lorry.
A rapid response vehicle, two ambulances and police attended the incident and the road remained closed until 6.20pm.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “An elderly woman was taken to hospital, but her injuries were not life changing or threatening.”
The police were warning drivers via Twitter to expect delays of around an hour and to try to find alternative routes.
A spokesman from the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “One patient was conveyed to Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.”
