Brecon Cathedral will host a 16-piece orchestra this December for a special concert of Christmas music.
The Christmas Orchestra is visiting 18 UK locations this winter - and Brecon has just been added to the list.
The enchanting spectacle will see a 16-piece chamber orchestra tour in iconic settings, promising feel-good fun.
Visitors to The Christmas Orchestra can expect to enjoy heart-warming tunes alongside popular sing-along classics and relive the nostalgia with compositions from iconic films such as Home Alone, Love Actually, The Holiday, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Muppet Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, The Grinch, and Polar Express.
The concert is performed live by a chamber orchestra supported with full sound production and lighting show.
Patrick Bailey, music director and arranger of The Christmas Orchestra said: “We’ve put together a programme of our favourite Christmas songs including music from the best Christmas films and timeless classics.”
Patrick has conducted concerts with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta and many others and given concerts worldwide as well as broadcasting on BBC Radio 3. As an arranger, he has had music played by BBC orchestras, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Opera House.

Brecon Cathedral will host the orchestra for two performances on Tuesday, December 10. The early concert will begin at 6:30pm and the late concert will begin at 8:45pm.
The concert runtime is approximately 75 minutes.
Tickets start at around the £20 mark, although more expensive ticket options are available depending on which area you sit.
All ticket types are unreserved seating and are available on a first come first served basis.
