Due to high ticket sales and performances beginning to sell out, Brecon Festival Ballet (BFB) is now opening the dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker ballet to the public.

This will be at 2:30pm on Friday, December 15 and tickets cost £10 – a reduced price as this is a dress rehearsal rather than a performance.

Tickets for the dress rehearsal are now on sale in person at Theatr Brycheiniog box office, or online here.

BFB’s enchanting production of this most famous Christmas ballet features Tchaikovsky’s well-known music played live by the Brecon Festival Ballet Orchestra and more than 80 dancers onstage. You’ll be transported first to a traditional Victorian Christmas party, through the whirling Snowflakes of the Christmas Wood and on to the colourful Kingdom of Sweets, ruled over by the Sugar Plum Fairy, where Clara and her Nutcracker are treated to confectionary and dances from around the world.

This is the third time that Brecon Festival Ballet has brought its full-scale production of The Nutcracker to Theatr Brycheiniog and it’s fast becoming part of Brecon’s Christmas tradition. This year, among the 12 professional Principal dancers, are six dancers that grew up and had their early dance training in Brecon. BFB is proud to be able to give these fantastic dancers the opportunity to perform to their “home crowd”. BFB also provides inspiring opportunities for local children and adults to perform alongside the professional musicians and dancers.

BFB’s Nutcracker is the perfect festive treat for all the family - the ultimate way to start your Christmas. Hurry and book the few remaining tickets while you can.
