Builth Wells RFC U16s formed a tight formation to face a crowd in Builth’s Strand Hall recently - with a musical twist.

This was no ball game, but a charity concert in aid of the boys going on a summer tour to Okehampton.

They sang Calon Lan, When You Walk Through a Storm and Cwm Rhondda, supported by Builth Male Voice Choir.

The boys had diligently attended the choir’s Monday evening rehearsals to learn these songs.

The choir performed many other numbers from their extensive repertoire including audience favourites such as Bring Him Home and Do You Hear the People Sing from Les Miserablés.

Holly Richards from Llandegley brought her own magic with a variety of different popular songs including some Elvis Presley and Country & Western ones. The event was well attended by an enthusiastic audience.

The choir is always looking for new singers.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend rehearsals which take place in The Greyhound Hotel, Builth Wells every Monday from 8pm.
