Actor Chris Rankin will switch on Brecon's Christmas lights this year.

The New Zealand-born British actor will take part in the switch-on event at Brecon with Bells On, taking place on Saturday, November 18.

Festive shopping and entertainment can be found on the streets between 12 midday and 7pm, with the lights set to be turned on at 6pm.

As well as a parade before the event, there will be two marquees outside the Guildhall and St Mary’s Church, alongside stalls in the street selling festive items and delicious refreshments.

The Market Hall will house the monthly Craft Fair and there will be a Santa’s Grotto at the Market Hall Vaults, a children’s magic show at the Guildhall, arts and crafts sessions and face painting at y Gaer, and much more - all free of charge.

Best known for his portayal of Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, Chris Rankin has worked in film, TV and theatre for the past 23 years.
