A home near Brecon will feature on an episode BBC’s ‘Wales' Home of the Year’ later this month.

On the episode set to air on Wednesday, November 27 (BBC One Wales, 7pm), the property show will visit an extended 16th century home in Llanddew.

The judges for this series are once again Welsh Radio 2 presenter and drumming sensation Owain Wyn Evans, interior designer Mandy Watkins from Anglesey and Cardiff-based architectural designer Glen Thomas.

The first home for the judges to visit in the episode is Pytindu House in Llanddew. Home to Hannah, husband Tom, and their kids George, Lilly, Lexi and Rosie, the family have extended and imaginatively redesigned their 16th century property.

Pendre Cottage, also in Powys, is the second property of the episode. It was originally built in the 1700s and has been home to Julie and Dave since 2009. The couple have lovingly updated this quirky property and the beautiful gardens to the rear of the home.

The third property in the episode is Chez Nous in Pontypool.

The TV series showcases a diverse range of property types, from the traditional to the contemporary, including bungalows, terraced housing, flats, and cottages.

Each episode crowns a regional winner, culminating in a grand finale where the ultimate title of Wales’ Home of the Year 2024 will be awarded.
