A music quiz has helped raise hundreds of pounds for a local Cancer Research fundraising committee.

The Cancer Research Builth Wells Committee held the fundraising music quiz earlier this month, raising more than £600 for charity.

The event was kindly organised and hosted by Lee Jarvis in the outdoor area of The Lamb, Builth Wells on July 5.

24 teams took part in the quiz, totalling more than 120 people. The teams listened to music excerpts from film and TV, as well as a selection of pop music from the 1970s and 1980s.

Some of the really well known songs got everyone singing along which added to the enjoyment of a lively evening.

The winning team was the ‘Woolly Wednesdays’ who were presented with the music quiz trophy and first prize.
