Valentine's Day is here and experts at scam.info have revealed that residents in Dyfed-Powys lose over half a million pounds to dating scams.

Dyfed-Powys police force (Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys) reported losses of £530,954 per 100,000 people due to dating scams.

This is the third highest region in the United Kingdom, behind Gwent in second place and Bedforshire, who top the charts.

Gwent and Dyfed-Powys police also reported some of the highest rates of dating fraud incidents in total, but Dyfed-Powys reported 13% fewer incidents than Gwent, with 77.87 dating fraud reports per 100,000 people.
