Crickhowell waling festival have created a new walk that discovers The Brecon Beacons National Park's rich heritage for droving.

Droving is the practice of walking livestock over long distances, and is a type of herding.

This walk, which is restricted to 14 walkers, was created by Mark Davis.

Mark is a Brecon Beacons National Park Ambassador and it was this Ambassador Programme on Welsh culture that got him interested in droving.

His enthusiasm for droving has grown ever since.

The walk will explore the history and culture of droving. The route is likely to cover routes that farmers would have used to direct Welsh livestock to English markets.

A talk will take place on Tuesday 7, March at 19:30 - 21:30. Walkers will meet at The Scout Hall, on Castle Road.

The walk itself will happen on Wednesday 8, March.
