BBC Cymru Wales has announced they will broadcast more than 40 hours of coverage on air for this year’s Royal Welsh Show.
The four-day annual event, which takes place this year from Monday, July 22 to Thursday, July 25 at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells will see BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Wales News Online and BBC Cymru Fyw present a flavour of the week’s activities.
There will also be additional activities for visitors to the showground in the BBC Pavilion, situated opposite the main ring, and on the Gwledd Stage in the Welsh Food Village.
Rhuanedd Richards, Director, BBC Cymru Wales said: “This is such an important event for our audiences in Wales which is why we continue to broadcast over 40 hours of content from the show across the week, as well as ensuring significant content online. It’s such a valuable event in terms of capturing the very essence of rural life in Wales as well as developments within our critical food production sector. Our TV, radio and online services will provide a platform for discussion, reflection and to celebrate the best of Welsh agriculture. Along with activities from the BBC Pavilion, opposite the main ring, there will be plenty on offer from the BBC for visitors to the show to enjoy.”
