After a summer of fun following the YFC Rally and the Royal Welsh show, the new year brought a new team to the table at Sennybridge YFC.
Libby Davies took the chair position and the vice chair was named as Ffion Havard.
There are a trio of secretaries - Teleri Haf Thomas, Cerys Pugh and Katey Davies - alongside treasurer Cerys Jones, who stayed on board for a second year.
With new members galore, Sennybridge YFC ventured to Cradoc Golf Club to use the driving range followed by Perry's specialty of sausage and chips.
Elsewhere, Teleri, Elin, Libby and Richie came third in the senior quiz, hosted by Sennybridge YFC.
The County Eisteddfod and Speaking Competition were also held on a recent weekend and enjoyed plenty of entries. Members had a great time with lots of success across the board.
Success for the Junior Public Speaking came in the form of the team of Evie, Darcy and Kaitlyn, who came first.
Anest led the way winning the Recitation under 17 and also the Alaw Werin (folk song). Anest also won the special trophy for the best literary item in Welsh.
Teleri Haf was on form, singing her way to success in the under 28 solo and the human singing.
Teleri also hit the high notes in the Musical solo alongside the award for the best musical item in the Eisteddfod.
Elin knew her grammar when it came to the unpunctuated reading, gaining first place.
Owain sang very movingly in the under 17 solo from a musical where he gained first, as well as joining Ellis for the winning humorous duet ,which brought a whole new meaning to singing in the shower. Look out for them all on TV from the Wales YFC Eisteddfod in November.
Overall, Sennybridge gained second place which was a great end to the day.
To top the weekend off, Libby was selected at the Wales YFC international travel weekend to go the the Rural Youth Europe European rally in Slovania - and Teleri is off to Patagonia.
There’s plenty to look forward to in the coming year!
