Pontfaen YFC were named overall winners at the 78th annual Brecknock YFC Rally.
The event was held on Saturday, June 1 at Cwmbryn, Beulah by the kind permission of Mr and Mrs Gwyn Protheroe and family - host club Troedrhiwdalar YFC.
Gwyn and Tracey Protheroe were elected a Rally Presidents alongside Gwyn’s parents Efryland and Megan, with Mr and Mrs Dilwyn Willams as Deputy Presidents.
Congratulations to Pontfaen YFC for winning the Rally Day and the Overall Winter Competitions Calendar. Further congratulations to Llanigon YFC for winning the Duhonw Lodge Shield.
A spokesperson for Brecknock YFC said: “I’m sure you will all agree what a fantastic venue it was, we cannot thank the host family, rally officials and helpers for all their hard work leading up to the rally and providing us with an outstanding site.

Brecknock YFC also wished good luck to all first placed competitors and teams, who will now go forward and represent the county at the Royal Welsh Show and national finals later this year.

Brecknock YFCs are open to all young people aged between 10-27 years, whether from an agricultural background or not.
There is something for everyone in YFC, activities range from: drama, sport, public speaking, stockjudging, training, quizzes and socialising to name but a few.
There are 12 Clubs within Brecknock, boasting 500 members.
