Fans of Llandovery Farmers’ Market will be thrilled to know that it will soon be back for the 2025 season.

Beginning on St David’s Day on Saturday, March 1, the market will be open from 10am to 4pm.

The mixed market opens with a range of locally grown or produced foods and other crafts, which are all produced within 25 miles of Market Square.

Event organiser, Raoul Bhambral, said: “It is fantastic the market will run this year too. It is a very popular market situated in the historic Market Square - popular with traders, shoppers and visitors alike.

“There will be music throughout and up to around 10 traders with their great goods, even so early in the year - let’s hope the weather holds nice!” he added.

Shoppers can expect delicious local honey from Garreg Fechan Honey, lamb, mutton and pork from The Tegfan Farm, gluten-free Tasty Local Cakes, beef from The Welsh Farm, handcrafted wood kitchenware from Coed Allt Goch OPD, sheep’s cheese from Ffynnon Wen and sterling silver jewellery Silverstar Jewellery. Street food from Grub on the Go will include burgers, choripan and hot dogs; plus Helen’s Pasties will be there with sausage rolls, pasties and Scotch eggs.

Wolf Magdala are Rob Bindley and Maryemma Watson, a musical duo from Llangammarch Wells. They play a good range of upbeat acoustic covers from old favourites like Fleetwood Mac, Queen and Stevie Wonder and some original work.

From April, the market returns to a true food and drink farmers’ market and will run on the first Saturday of the month until October.

Llandovery Farmers’ Market proved very popular last year, with special events scattered throughout the summer, autumn and winter calendar, before culminating in a festive Christmas light switch-on event in Market Square at the end of November.
