Fay Jones MP has this morning condemned the attack on Israel launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip over the weekend.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas launched an attack on Israel on Saturday, with its fighters entering communities near the Gaza Strip, killing residents and taking hostages.

Whilst the picture on the ground is still evolving, the attacks have led to the deaths of many Israeli civilians in their homes and out in their communities, as well as tourists visiting the country.

The Brecon and Radnorshire MP reinforced her unequivocal condemnation of Hamas, and her thoughts are with the victims of the attack.

Ms Jones said: “I am sure like many across Brecon and Radnorshire this morning, my thoughts are with the victims of these indiscriminate and barbarous attacks on innocent men, women, and children over the weekend.

“I want to emphasise my unequivocal condemnation of Hamas for launching these attacks, which I am sure is something felt across the political divide locally.”
