Heavy rainfall has caused floods in parts of Presteigne, halting traffic.

Along the B4372 road from New Radnor to Kinnerton and Presteigne, a bus had to come to a stop as it was unable to pass through rising water levels past Hobble Farm. The bus route was delayed until the driver was able to pass through with the help of the local farmer.

Those in the area have also said that the roads leading to Leominster are impassable. Drivers have also had to reroute from Presteigne, after the B4355 road to Titley and into Kington are also flooded, cutting people off from travelling.

In other areas, there are delays on A470 between Llangurig and Llanidloes due to flooding.

The Brecon and Radnor Express recently reported on a local Presteigne business that has been affected by the mild summer and the amount of rainfall over the past year.
