New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Ivy House Tea Shop and Gallery, at Ivy House, Church Bank, Montgomery, Powys was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 4.

And Cafe Le Gallois, at Beaufort Chambers, Beaufort Street, Crickhowell, Powys was given a score of three on July 4.

It means that of Powys's 406 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 277 (68%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
