New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Country Kitchen, at Pegasus Lane, Brecon, Powys was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 8.

And Red Indigo Indian Restaurant, at 10 Castle Street, Hay-On-Wye, Hereford was given a score of one on February 8.

It means that of Powys's 409 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 286 (70%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
