New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Glynneath Golf Club (Kitchen), at Glynneath Golf Club, Penygraig, Pontneddfechan, Glynneath was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 5.

And Centre for Alternative Technology, at Llwyngwern Quarry, Pantperthog, Machynlleth, Powys was given a score of four on August 13.

It means that of Powys's 412 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 271 (66%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
