New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Powys’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to three pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 4: Bowlers Retreat at Radnorshire Indoor Bowls Stadium, Spa Road, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on June 16

• Rated 4: George and Dragon at 4 Broad Street, Knighton, Powys; rated on June 16

• Rated 4: The Red Lion Country Inn at Llanfihangel Nant Melan, New Radnor, Presteigne, Powys; rated on June 16

It means that of Powys's 273 similar establishments with ratings, 163 (60%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
