On Saturday, September 23, 40 members of the Forces Wives Challenge (FWC) ladies climbed Pen y Fan from Pont ar Daf car park.
FWC is a not-for-profit organisation set up to unite women who have partners in the Armed Forces through adventure and challenge.
Throughout the year they take part in many challenges both in the UK and abroad and use some of their events to raise funds for charities - currently SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity.
Forces Wives Challenge is open to women who have a partner, either still serving or veteran, in the Armed Forces.
More information on the exciting adventures they offer and and how to join can be found on their website: www.forceswiveschallenge.org
Equally important is SSAFA who support ex-service personnel and their families in both the UK and abroad.
