Former auctioneer, partner and chairman of Knighton Market, Glyn Owens, was presented with a painting on Friday, January 17, to recognise his 41 years of service to McCartneys Rural.
Glyn began his McCartneys career on January 2, 1984, under Norman Phillips and is said to have taken Knighton to some great heights.
He was a partner and in charge of the market from 1985 to 2020, and decided to retire completely last month.
In appreciation of his hard work over a 41-year period, Glyn was presented with a commissioned painting of him selling breeding ewes at Knighton.
Speaking about the painting, Glyn told the Brecon & Radnor Express: “I was delighted to receive it. It’s a lovely painting and I was very touched that they gave it to me.”
