New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: J Ds Cafe at 10 Broad Street, Knighton, Powys; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: The Courtroom Coffee Shop at The Courtroom Cafe, Market Hall, High Street, Crickhowell; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: Greenhouse Cafe at Garthmyl, Montgomery, Powys; rated on March 19

• Rated 5: Offas Dyke Association at Offa'S Dyke Centre, West Street, Knighton, Powys; rated on March 19

• Rated 5: The Workhouse Gallery & Cafe at The Workhouse, Presteigne Ind Estate, Presteigne, Powys; rated on March 19

• Rated 5: Dementia Matters Llandrindod Meeting at Howey Hall, Howey, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on March 17
