New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Bamboo Garden, at 50 Market Street, Knighton, Powys was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 28.

And The Old Temp Fish Bar, at 26-28 Commercial Street, Ystradgynlais, Swansea was also given a score of five on August 22.

It means that of Powys's 101 takeaways with ratings, 53 (52%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
